Senegal's Wade gets green light to stand for new term
DAKAR Jan 27 (Reuters) - Senegal's top constitutional body ruled on Friday that incumbent President Abdoulaye Wade was eligible to stand for a third term in a Feb. 26 election, rejecting arguments of rivals that an existing two-term limit should apply to him.
Wade's name appeared on a list of confirmed candidates issued by the Constitutional Council to reporters outside its headquarters in a suburb of the capital Dakar. (Reporting by Diadie Ba; writing by Mark John Editing by Maria Golovnina)
