Drilling ban announcement coming in few days -govt

MALIBU, California, July 9 (Reuters) - U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said on Friday he planned to make a statement on the department's deepwater drilling moratorium in a few days.

"In the next several days we'll be making an announcement about keeping the moratorium in place," Salazar told reporters at an Interior Department event in Malibu, California. (Reporting by Dan Whitcomb)
