Turkey - Factors to Watch on Nov 4
ISTANBUL, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Here are press reports, news and events that could affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.
The lira IYIX= was trading at 1.4990 against the dollar in early trade, compared with a close of 1.5060 on Tuesday. The yield on the benchmark Aug. 3, 2011, bond <0#TRTSYSUM=IS> closed at 8.88 percent on Tuesday from a previous 8.74 percent.
The main share index .XU100 closed 2.36 percent lower at 46,335.05 points.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian stocks edged higher in muted trade ahead of central bank meetings, including the U.S. Federal Reserve's, on Wednesday. The dollar lost ground after hitting a one-month high against a basket of currencies.
Oil fell for the first time in three days after a 2 percent surge and gold eased after hitting a record high, but the afterglow helped boost resource-linked shares. [ID:nSP215083]
