Egypt's budget deficit for FY 2016-17 between 10.4-10.5 pct -minister

CAIRO, July 15 (Reuters) - Egyptian Planning Minister Hala al-Saeed told a news conference on Saturday that she saw the initial budget deficit for the 2016-17 financial year that ended in June at between 10.4-10.5 percent.

The real deficit for the 2015-16 fiscal year was 12.5 percent. Saeed also projected that the GDP growth rate for the fourth-quarter of 2016-17 would not fall below 4.5 percent. (Reporting by Ehab Farouk; Writing by Ahmed Aboulenein; Editing by Richard Balmforth)
