UPDATE 1-Egypt's Meditrade seeks at least 30,000 T edible oil

CAIRO March 10 (Reuters) - Egypt's Meditrade is looking to buy at least 30,000 tonnes of edible oil for arrival in the second half of April or first half of May, a trader said on Wednesday.

Meditrade was looking to buy 15,000 to 20,000 tonnes of soyoil and 15,000 to 20,000 tonnes of sunflower oil.

The deadline for bids is March 16, he said.

The privately-owned Meditrade tenders on average once a month to buy vegetable oil on behalf of the state-owned General Authority for Supply Commodities.

It bought 43,000 tonnes of edible oils in its latest tender on Feb. 16. (Reporting by Sherine El Madany; Editing by Amanda Cooper)
