Romania seeks investors for Tarnita hydro power plant
BUCHAREST Aug 7 (Reuters) - Investors have until Oct. 31 to file preliminary, non-binding bids to build a 1,000 megawatt hydro power plant at Tarnita in northwestern Romania, the state-owned project company Hidro Tarnita said on Thursday.
The company will then hold negotiations with short-listed investors between Dec. 2 and Jan. 31, 2015. A deadline for binding bids for the 1 billion euros unit will be announced early next year.
State-owned nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica and China's Sinohydro Group Ltd have separately expressed an interest.
