WASHINGTON, July 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. Energy Department will try to deliver in July about 7 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve awarded to winning companies, and about 23 million barrels of reserve oil in August, a government official told Reuters on Monday.

The delivery schedule is not final as companies still need to line up the vessels to transport the crude and get waivers from the federal Jones Act law to allow foreign-based ships to move the oil between U.S. ports, the official said. (Reporting by Tom Doggett)
