CCC buys 1,550 tonnes soyoil for Malawi

CHICAGO (Reuters) - The U.S. Agriculture Department said on Friday that it bought 1,550 tonnes of U.S. crude degummed soybean oil for donation to Malawi.

The purchase was valued at $1.23 million and made from Bunge at $795.64 per tonne FOB. Delivery to vessel is July 27-Aug 5 with shipment from New Orleans, Louisiana.

The U.S. government is the largest provider of food aid in the world. USDA's Commodity Credit Corp (CCC) bought more than 2.8 million tonnes of bulk and processed commodities worth more than $1.3 billion in the fiscal year ended September 30.
