Vestas says wins 25.5 MW Cape Verde turbine order
COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has won an order for turbines with total capacity of 25.5 megawatts for a project in Cape Verde in the Atlantic off west Africa.
The order was for 30 V52-850 kilowatt turbines for the Cabeolica wind power project to be located on the islands of Santiago, Sal, Sao Vicente and Boavistato, Vestas Wind Systems said on Tuesday.
The first turbines were expected on site at the end of 2010, and the whole project fully installed by the third quarter of 2011, Vestas said.
