Cluff Gold says Ivory Coast mine working as normal

LONDON, Dec 6 (Reuters) - London-listed Cluff Gold (CLUF.L: Quote) (CFG.TO: Quote) said production from its Angovia mine in the Ivory Coast had not been interrupted as tension in the West African nation escalated after a disputed presidential election result.
"Everything is working as normal," a spokesman told Reuters.
The mine is expected to produce about 40,000 ounces of gold in 2010, according to Cluff's production target, equivalent to about 40 percent of the company's overall output for the year.
Shares in Cluff Gold pared earlier losses. At 1023 GMT they were trading down 4.4 percent after falling as much as 5.2 percent earlier on Monday. Continued...
