July 4 (Reuters) - Canadian miner High River Gold Mines Ltd said it received a 20-year mining license in Burkina Faso to explore and construct a gold mine at its Bissa gold project in West Africa.
The company, which has properties located mainly in Russia and Burkina Faso in Africa, said the license could be renewed.
The gold miner, which owns a 90 percent stake in the Bissa project, said it expects mine construction to start before the end of the year.
Shares of the Ontario-based company closed at C$1.17 on Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Maneesha Tiwari in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
