BEIJING, Feb 5 (Reuters) - China’s total grid-connected solar power capacity reached 43.18 gigawatts (GW) by the end of 2015, up 53.9 percent on a year earlier, figures from the National Energy Administration (NEA) showed on Friday.
The NEA said China connected 15.13 GW of new solar capacity to the grid over the year, surpassing its target of 15 GW and accounting for a quarter of new solar capacity installed worldwide.
Of the total new additions, 13.74 GW was in the form of solar power stations. The remainder consisted of “distributed” power sources installed on roofs and buildings.
