SINGAPORE, Jan 14 (Reuters) - China’s natural gas imports in December hit a monthly record at around 9.2 million tonnes, Reuters calculations based on Chinese customs data showed on Monday.
For all of 2018, China’s natural gas imports surged 31.9 percent over 2017 to 90.39 million tonnes, customs said.
The December gas imports came in at 9.15 million tonnes, according to Reuters calculations, a record high.
China’s crude oil imports in 2018 rose 10.1 percent on a year earlier to a record 462 million tonnes, the customs said.
December crude oil imports were 43.89 million tonnes, according to Reuters calculations.
