Poland's PGNiG sings deal with Denmark's operator on Norway gas flows

WARSAW, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Poland’s state-run gas firm PGNiG signed an agreement with Denmark’s gas system operator Energinet for the transit of gas from Norway to Poland via Denmark through a planned Baltic Pipe pipeline in 2022-2037, PGNiG said on Tuesday.

The Baltic Pipe, which is expected to be built by 2022, is Poland’s flagship project aimed at reducing reliance on gas supplies from Russia. Earlier in January PGNiG signed a similar deal with Polish operator Gaz-System. (Reporting by Agnieszka Barteczko; Editing by Lidia Kelly)
