Romanian power producer Nuclearelectrica shuts down Unit 1 for works

BUCHAREST, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Romanian state-owned nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica said on Wednesday it has shut down its first reactor for works at some process parametres.

The shut down was scheduled, it said. The company has two 706 megawatt reactors at Cernavoda on the river Danube, accounting for roughly a fifth of the country’s power production. (Reporting by Luiza Ilie)
