Indonesia Pertamina lowers prices after pricing rules change

JAKARTA, Feb 10 (Reuters) -

* Indonesia state energy firm PT Pertamina, starting Feb 10, lowered prices of its fuel by up to 800 rupiah per litre, the company said after the government changed fuel pricing formulation rules

* The changes mostly affected Pertamina’s non-subsidised products, it said in a statement over the weekend

* The lower prices were due to “declining trend of global crude oil price and strengthening of the rupiah against US dollar”

* Prices of widely used Pertalite, Pertamina’s RON90 gasoline grade, will be kept unchanged

* Pertamina also said its prices of subsidised Premium RON 88 sold in Java and Bali islands will be made the same as those sold outside Java

* The government pricing rules, set on Feb 1 and made public on Friday, will also affect pricing by other sellers of non-subsidised fuel (Reporting by Wilda Asmarini)
