Indonesia sets June coal benchmark price (HBA) at $81.48 per tonne

JAKARTA, June 10 (Reuters) -

* The Indonesian government has set its coal benchmark price (HBA) for June at $81.48 per tonne, energy ministry website showed on Monday, down from $81.86 per tonne for May

* June marked a tenth straight monthly drop for the benchmark price and the lowest price since July 2017, according to Eikon Refinitiv data <0#COAL-ID>

* The Indonesian benchmark price has been under pressure in recent months due to import restrictions in markets like China and India, although the decline rate in June slowed from the previous month’s rate

* The HBA is a monthly average of the Argus-Indonesia Coal Index (ICI-1), the Platts Kalimantan 5,900 assessment, the Newcastle Export Index and the globalCOAL Newcastle index from the previous month (Reporting by Bernadette Christina; Writing by Fransiska Nangoy; Editing by Tom Hogue)
