S.Korea's nuclear operator to shut Shin Kori No.1 for maintenance

SEOUL, July 1 (Reuters) -

* South Korea’s nuclear operator said on Monday that it will halt operations of the Shin Kori No.1 nuclear reactor from July 2 for a planned maintenance for 48 days

* The shutdown of the 1,000-megawatt reactor will bring the number of offline nuclear reactors to seven out of the country’s total 24 reactors, according to state-run Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power’s website (Reporting By Jane Chung; Editing by Kim Coghill)
