Indonesia raises coal benchmark price for first time in a year in Aug

JAKARTA, Aug 5 (Reuters) -

* The Indonesian government has set its coal benchmark price (HBA) for August at $72.67 per tonne, according to an official document from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry

* It is higher than July’s benchmark price of $71.92 and also the first increase in a year, according to Eikon Refinitiv data COAL-HBA-ID

* The HBA is a monthly average of the Argus-Indonesia Coal Index (ICI-1), the Platts Kalimantan 5,900 assessment, the Newcastle Export Index and the globalCOAL Newcastle index from the previous month (Reporting by Bernadette Christina Munthe Writing by Fransiska Nangoy Editing by Subhranshu Sahu)
