Lithuania competition watchdog fines Gazprom $48.4 mln

VILNIUS, June 10 (Reuters) - Lithuania’s competition authority fined Russia’s Gazprom $48.4 million on Tuesday, claiming it prevented competition in the Baltic state, it said in a statement.

The authority said Gazprom, the sole gas supplier to Lithuania, has prevented the state-owned energy group Lietuvos Energija from purchasing gas from western Europe at a lower price and swapping it for Russian gas.
