Nigeria central bank sees 7.9 pct inflation as "good level"

LAGOS, June 11 (Reuters) - Nigeria’s central bank sees the 7.9 percent inflation rate achieved at the end of April as a “good level,” newly appointed governor Godwin Emefiele said on Wednesday.

Emefiele, who took up his post earlier this month, also said the central bank in Africa’s biggest economy remained “very independent”. (Reporting by Chijioke Ohuocha, writing by David Dolan; editing by Andrew Heavens)
