Turkey takes Russia to arbitration on gas price dispute - official

ANKARA, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Turkish state gas importer Botas has appealed to the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) arbitration court over the price of natural gas from Russia, an energy official told Reuters, after Ankara and Moscow failed to strike a deal following months of negotiations.

Ankara obtained a 10.25 percent price discount on the 28-30 billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas it buys from Russia, Turkey’s then Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said in February, but the two sides have been at loggerheads on putting a final signature on the deal.
