Hungary's Paks nuclear plant lowers output on maintenance

BUDAPEST, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Hungary’s Paks nuclear power plant on Friday said it had lowered output of one of its four blocks due to planned maintenance, according to a statement posted on company website.

Paks, which produces a third of Hungary’s electricity, said capacity of Block 3 was reduced by more than 100 MW. It did not say when it expected the block to return to nominal capacity.

It said the maintenance had no impact on nuclear safety or production at its other three blocks (Reporting by Krisztina Than, Editing by Sherry Jacob-Phillips)
