E.ON says sold German nuclear power forward at below-market levels

FRANKFURT, Nov 14 (Reuters) - German utility E.ON said on Wednesday it sold forward the bulk of its nuclear generation volumes for 2018 and the coming years at prices well below the current wholesale market.

* All of its German nuclear power output in 2018 from three reactors at the Preussen Elektra unit was sold at 27 euros ($30.49) a megawatt hours (MWh), according to slides prepared for an analyst call on release of nine month results.

* Some 80 percent of 2019 volumes were sold at 29 euros and 25 percent of 2020 output at 40 euros, the slides showed.

* Eikon Refinitiv German baseload power delivery for 2019 closed at 53 euros/MWh in the European wholesale market on Tuesday and the 2020 position at 50.2 euros.

* Sector peer RWE also showed hedge rates for its electricity prices and carbon costs. Uniper showed its hydro power hedge rates on Tuesday. ($1 = 0.8854 euros) (Reporting by Vera Eckert; Editing by Maria Sheahan)
