PARIS, Dec 9 (Reuters) - French nuclear regulator ASN said on Monday it had authorized state-controlled utility EDF to restart two reactors at its Cruas nuclear power plant following safety checks after the Nov. 11 earthquake that led to a halt in production.
A spokeswoman for ASN said the watchdog cleared Cruas reactor number 2 and 4 to restart.
Cruas 2 resumed power generation on Saturday, while Cruas 4 is scheduled to restart later on Monday.
“The operator still has some tests to run on reactor number 3,” the spokeswoman told Reuters. (Reporting by Bate Felix Editing by GV De Clercq)
