JOHANNESBURG, June 30 (Reuters) - Members of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) rejected a new pay offer from state-owned utility Eskom and plan to strike next week during the World Cup, a union spokesman said on Wednesday. “Members have rejected the offer, and there will be mass action next week. We are going to strike together with the other union,” Castro Ngobese, Numsa’s spokesman told Reuters.
The National Union of Mineworkers, the biggest of Eskom’s unions, said on Tuesday its members would also go on strike next week over the pay dispute. [ID:nLDE65S1NY]
