MILAN, Feb 18 (Reuters) - The sale of a 10 percent stake in Eni’s Mozambique gas field is still on the agenda, the CEO of the Italian oil and gas major Claudio Descalzi said on Wednesday.
Eni has previously offloaded 20 percent of its controlling stake in the Mozambique field to China’s CNPC for around $4 billion.
Asked about reports the group was considering spinning off its gas and power division, Descalzi said he could not comment on press speculation.
He said the group was considering options and said a “specialised structure” could generate more value. (Reporting by Stephen Jewkes; editing by Francesca Landini)
