Cause of smoke over Japan nuclear reactors unknown - operator

TOKYO, March 21 (Reuters) - The operator of Japan’s tsunami-damaged nuclear power complex said on Monday it did not know the cause of smoke rising from two of the plant’s six reactors.

The smoke began to rise from the plant’s No.2 and No.3 reactors on Monday, just as authorities had begun to show signs of progress in its efforts to avert nuclear disaster at the site. (Reporting by Mark Bendeich; Editing by Brian Rhoads)
