S.Korea's Shin Kori No.3 nuclear reactor to restart after maintenance

SEOUL, April 17 (Reuters) -

* South Korea’s nuclear regulator, the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, said on Friday it has approved the restart of the Shin Kori No.3 nuclear reactor after planned maintenance

* The restart of the 1,400-megawatt reactor will bring down the number of offline nuclear reactors to five out of the country’s 24-reactor fleet, according to data from state-run operator Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power’s website

* The regulator did not say when the restart of the Shin Kori No.3 would take place, but the reactor’s maintenance period was due to completed by April 20, according to Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power’s website (Reporting By Jane Chung; Editing by Tom Hogue)
