French spot power price down 52.43 pct on lower demand, higher wind power

PARIS, Nov 8 (Reuters) - French spot power price for day-ahead delivery fell 97 euros or 52.43 pct on Tuesday due to a forecast fall in demand and increased wind power output.

A number of outages at reactors in recent weeks, partly due to safety checks requested by the French nuclear safety regulator, had pushed European power prices to multi-year highs as traders worry about reduced supply ahead of winter. (Reporting by Bate Felix, editing by Sybille de La Hamaide)
