Norway will require airlines to use 'advanced' biofuel from 2020

OSLO, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Norway’s minority centre-right government will require the aviation industry to mix 0.5 percent advanced biofuel into its jetfuel from 2020 onwards, the Ministry of Climate and Environment said in a statement on Thursday.

Advanced biofuel is made by waste and leftovers, and cannot be based on palm oil, it added. (Reporting by Terje Solsvik, editing by Gwladys Fouche)
