CEZ disconnects Temelin Unit 1 nuclear reactor temporarily

PRAGUE, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Czech utility CEZ has temporarily disconnected Unit 1 of its 2,162 MW Temelin nuclear power plant from the grid due to turbine vibrations although the reactor remains running, it said on its Twitter account on Monday.

“The reason is higher vibrations of the turbine, very likely because of a drop in temperatures,” CEZ said. “Tests are being run now, but we do not want to risk damaging parts.”
