(Corrected after clarification from Novatek that LNG supplies will amount to 2.5 million tonnes per year, not just 2.5 million tonnes)
MOSCOW, May 29 (Reuters) - Russian independent gas producer will start liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to Spanish energy company Gas Natural Fenosa in 2018, Interfax news agency quoted Novatek head Leonid Mikhelson as saying on Monday.
Novatek and Gas Natural Fenosa signed a long-term contract in 2013, which envisages LNG supplies from Novatek’s Yamal LNG project.
Mikhelson said on Monday that the 25-year contract with Fenosa which is worth more than 30 billion euros ($33.53 billion) was aimed to deliver 2.5 million tonnes of LNG per year to the Spanish partner, Interfax reported.
