Hungary's Paks nuclear plant to stay on full power

BUDAPEST, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Hungary’s Paks nuclear power plant is not powering down any of its four blocks despite rising water temperature in the Danube, which is used as coolant, the plant said in a statement posted on its web site on Tuesday.

The rising water temperature does mean the coolant is less effective, therefore the plant will produce somewhat less electricity, it added. (Reporting by Marton Dunai and Gergely Szakacs)
