SHANGHAI, Aug 11 (Reuters) - About 50 companies have submitted 135 bids in an open tender for utility-scale solar power projects in China, the state-run China Securities reported on Tuesday.

The bidders are mainly from the country’s top power companies, including Huaneng (0902.HK)(600011.SS) (HNP.N) and GD Power (600795.SS) and their subsidiaries, the China Securities said.

The tender results will be announced by Aug 20, the newspaper said, citing a source from Yingli Energy (Beijing) Co Ltd, which planned to bid for four of the projects.
