Austrian choice of OMV CEO to surprise - finmin

VIENNA, March 27 (Reuters) - The supervisory board of partially state-owned energy group OMV will name a surprise candidate on Friday to take over as chief executive, Finance Minister Hans Joerg Schelling told reporters, declining to reveal the identity of the new manager.

“It will name a chief executive whom you all have not guessed,” he told a group of business journalists hours before the crucial board meeting to name a successor to Gerhard Roiss.

He said the top manager had to be an expert in the energy sector and bring leadership experience to the post.
