Guinea Bissau GDP seen at 5 percent in 2018 - IMF

BISSAU, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Guinea Bissau’s GDP is expected to grow five percent in 2018, in line with the previous two years and buoyed by an increase in cashew nut prices, the International Monetary Fund said on Tuesday.

“The Guinea Bissau forecasts show economic growth of 5 percent this year and in 2018,” said Tobias Rasmussen, an IMF official on a visit to the West African country. (Reporting By Alberto Dabo; writing by Sofia Christensen; Editing by Edward McAllister and Emma Farge)
