Russia's Gazprom to consider divesting stake in UK-Belgium pipeline operator

MOSCOW, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Gazprom’s board of directors is to consider divesting its 10 percent stake in Interconnector (UK) Ltd, operator of a natural gas pipeline which links continental Europe and Britain.

The board will consider the “termination of participation” in Interconnector on Nov. 30, Gazprom said in a regulatory disclosure.

It owns a 10-percent stake, according to Interconnector’s website.

It was not clear whether Gazprom was going to sell the stake or dispose of it by some other method.

Gazprom declined to comment. (Reporting by Olesya Astakhova and Vladimir Soldatkin; writing by Polina Devitt; editing by Lidia Kelly and Jason Neely)
