Algeria re-tenders for 50,000 T barley - traders

PARIS (Reuters) - Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC has re-launched a tender to buy 50,000 tonnes of feed barley for shipment in May 15-31, European traders said on Tuesday.

OAIC had initially held a tender last week but traders said the agency had asked for new offers to be submitted by this Wednesday.

Traders said OAIC had cited “significant constraints” that had prevented the agency’s purchasing committee from meeting last week.

Algeria is a leading importer of wheat but rarely tenders to buy barley.
