South Africa's petrol price to increase by 2 percent in October

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - The retail price of petrol in South Africa will increase by 2.1 percent from Wednesday, while the price of wholesale diesel will rise by 3.6 percent, the energy department said on Monday.

The price of petrol will rise by 29 cents to 14.01 rand per litre in the commercial hub of Gauteng province, while diesel will go up by as much 42 cents to 12.12 rand.
