South Africa's August manufacturing output up 1.3 percent

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa’s manufacturing output rose by 1.3 percent year-on-year in August, following a revised 2.8 percent expansion in July, the statistics agency said on Thursday.

Statistics South Africa said factory production on a month-on-month basis rose 0.1 percent in August, and in the three months to August it increased by 1.9 percent versus the previous three months.
