Nigeria central bank, lenders to meet over MTN money transfer -source

ABUJA (Reuters) - Nigeria’s central bank has called for a meeting on Friday with four lenders involved in an alleged $8.1 billion money transfer by South Africa’s telecoms firm MTN, a banking source with knowledge of the issue told Reuters.

The bank on Thursday emailed invitations to the local heads of Standard Chartered, Citibank, Stanbic IBTC Bank and Diamond Bank, the source said.
