June 12 (Reuters) - Libya has resumed gas output in its Sahel field, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on Tuesday.
Sirte Oil, a subsidiary of NOC, restarted the field on June 6, NOC said in a statement on its website.
“The Sahel field was among the most affected fields during the war of liberation. It was subject to looting, destruction and vandalism,” the statement said, referring to last year’s conflict that ended the rule of Muammar Gaddafi. (Reporting By Hamid Ould Ahmed)
