Tunisia protests over Libyan incursion during clash

TUNIS, April 28 (Reuters) - Tunisia strongly condemned incursions by Libyan forces during clashes with anti-Gaddafi rebels on Thursday and demanded that the Libyans put a stop to them.

Forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi briefly entered Tunisia in pursuit of the rebels during fighting at a border post. Libyan artillery shells also struck the Tunisian side of the crossing.

“Given the gravity of what has happened... the Tunisian authorities have informed the Libyans of their extreme indignation and demand measures to put an immediate stop to these violations,” a statement from the foreign ministry said.
