Mauritius cbank postpones rates meeting to May 30 as new policymakers named

PORT LOUIS, May 16 (Reuters) - Mauritius’ central bank postponed a policy meeting scheduled for May 18 until May 30, it said on Wednesday, after the prime minister and finance minister appointed three new members to its Monetary Policy Committee.

At its last meeting in February the central bank left its key repo rate unchanged at 3.5 percent and cut its economic growth forecast for 2018 to 4 percent from 4.2 percent previously. (Reporting by Jean Paul Arouff Editing by Duncan Miriri and John Stonestreet)
