Indonesia's mining ministry expects copper production to jump in 2017

JAKARTA, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Indonesia's mining ministry
expects the country's copper production to jump to 710,000
tonnes next year, the ministry's coal and minerals director
general Bambang Gatot said on Tuesday.
    Earlier on Tuesday, Gatot cut the ministry's outlook for
copper production this year to 241,553 tonnes from 310,000
tonnes. He did not provide a reason. 
    Below are details of the ministry's mineral production
targets in tonnes for 2017, compared to its latest estimate for
this year:
