Moody's says would likely downgrade South Africa rating if growth below forecasts

JOHANNESBURG, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Moody’s would likely downgrade South Africa’s credit rating if economic growth were to fall below the levels projected by the agency, a senior analyst said on Tuesday.

Kristin Lindow also told an annual conference in Johannesburg that it did not expect to upgrade South Africa’s Baa2 rating in the near future. (Reporting by Stella Mapenzauswa; Editing by James Macharia)
