Mauritius opposition concedes defeat-leader

PORT LOUIS (Reuters) - Mauritius’ opposition leader on Thursday said his party had lost the parliamentary election contest on the Indian Ocean island.

“We concede defeat at a national level,” opposition leader Paul Berenger told supporters in his constituency in a statement broadcast by local media.
