Uganda central bank holds its key lending rate at 10.0%

KAMPALA, June 18 (Reuters) - Uganda’s central bank held its key lending rate at 10.0%, and forecast the economy to expand 6.3% in 2019/20 (July-June), its governor said on Tuesday.

Bank of Uganda Governor Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile said escalating global trade tensions, local unfavourable weather and delays in infrastructure projects could dampen economic activity. (Reporting by Elias Biryabarema; Writing by George Obulutsa)
