U.S., UK, Norway alarmed at escalating violence in South Sudan

OSLO (Reuters) - The United States, Britain and Norway jointly expressed their alarm on Wednesday at reports of fighting in the Yei River area of South Sudan between government forces and the rebel National Salvation Front.

“(It) represents a flagrant breach of the December 2017 Cessation of Hostilities Agreement and the September 2018 revitalised peace agreement. These military actions, and the trading of blame, must stop,” they said in a statement.
